Two of the most eccentric and egotistical musicians on the planet will try to share the same stage this fall as Kanye West and Lady GaGa go on tour together. Kanye made the announcement during his appearance on The View on Wednesday, adding, “She’s talented and so incredible that she’s not an opening act. We’re doing it together, with no opening act.”

I think as far as spectacles go (see: Britney Spears’ Circus Tour) this is one I might actually go to if a free ticket fell in my lap. For one thing, at least one of the singers will actually be singing live and without electronic distortion. Plus, for some reason I’m not put off by Lady GaGa’s ridiculousness. Her crazy outfits, makeup and public silliness just seems like someone having fun with fame – she doesn’t come across as a person that is buying what they’re selling (like Kanye).
