VIDEO Danielle Staub performs “Real Close” on WPIX

Danielle Staub performs Real Close on WPIX Augutst 24, 2010

When Danielle Staub made her musical debut on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live it left millions of Schadenfreudians with egg on their face and jaws on the floor. The infamous “prostitution wh0re’s” torch ballad piano-only duet performance with singer/songwriter Lori Michaels was shockingly not bad at all.

But since that time, Danielle has continued to make appearances performing “dance” versions of the single that have solidified herself among fellow Housewife musicians Kim Zolciak and Gretchen Rossi as a spectacularly entertaining musical train wreck! The most recent audio pile up was on the WPIX PIX11 Morning Show earlier today.

After talking about the RHONJ season finale and dropping hints that she will be getting her own spin-off show a-la Bethenny Frankel, Danielle and Lori came out to perform their high-adrenaline electronica interpretation of “Real Close” and it was nothing short of awe-inspiring!

It’s very similar to their performance from Danielle’s 48th birthday party at Scores strip club (you can see the video HERE). She still has her Jersey Shore male dance group and they rub their muscles together in varying ways as Danielle sings through a Casio keyboard circa 1984. Lori joins her eventually and the “effects” are toned down a bit, but it doesn’t really take anything away from the marvelous audio and video spectacle!

I’m still waiting for tour dates, although I don’t know if I’d be willing to go to “Club Erotica” or “The Pink Taco” to see it.
