Mercurial supermodel Naomi Campbell has suffered from a disappearing hairline for about 15 years, and the stark reality of her condition was caught last week by paparazzi at an NYC outdoor photoshoot for Dennis Basso’s fall/winter 2010 campaign.

While the former PETA-promoting model donned a fur vest, the cameras caught the faltering traces of her disappearing hairline. She hasn’t openly spoken out about her condition, but hair experts like Philip Kingsly are speculating that she suffers from traction alopecia, a condition caused by the the pulling and tugging of the hair that occurs with years of tight braiding, brushing and weave use.
