The Bachelorette contestant Kasey Kahl has a curious intonation and a major case of the romantics, but does he take his desire to woo Ali Fedotowsky too far in Monday’s episode?

Is he “obsessed” with her as the scary ABC preview claims? This is the guy, after all, who spouted out some syrupy craziness on his Myspace a few years back:

“For instance, I have always wanted a fairy-tale life. I wanted to be someones knight in shining armour and sweep that special princess off her feet as if it was in a romantic movie or something. I want that special story that you hear 80 year old couples tell you on a romantic vacation that you almost have to shed a few tears to after hearing it. As pathetic and corny as that sounds, thats just the kind of person I truly am and i dont want to mask it. However I feel like I have to. Dont get me wrong I like my lifestyle but am always on the verge of a breakdown or just stressed out because of what others say. Im sure there will always be someone trying to rain on your parade or try to get the best of you. But I just want to make everyone happy. I want to go back to being the little boy next door who grew up to be the man everyone thought he would be putting a smile on everyones face.”

SPOILERS after clip:

We see a bandage on Kasey’s arm in the promo, and one guy asks “He didn’t hurt himself did he?” Turns out he did hurt himself, sort of.

According to Reality Steve, Kasey went on a one-and-one date with Ali, which ended with a surprising outcome. He didn’t get a rose, but he didn’t get sent home.

She goes on a group date with some of the boys, and a one-on-one date with Chris Lambton, which must go well since he ends up in the final two.

While all this is going on, Kasey “slips out,” and comes back with a bandage. When the guys rag him about it, he says he got burned!

Kasey didn’t get burned, he tattoo of a shield in front of a heart and a rose. He doesn’t show Ali the tattoo yet, so we get to wait another week to see how she reacts to this strange gesture. Will she find it creepy, or endearing? At least he doesn’t have a recent ex-wife he cheated on, or two current girlfriends!
