16 and Pregnant alum Lindsey Nicholson‘s infant daughter Paisley continues to have serious medical issues, and the Nicholson family is now in Dallas for more tests in hopes of finding out why Paisley’s liver is still failing.

Lindsey announced earlier this week that her family was taking the five-hour road trip to Dallas after Paisley’s condition did not improve and more tests were needed. On Thursday she shared the following update:

Paisley isn’t doing well. I’ve had to do A LOT of talking this week. So clearly the last thing I wanted to do was talk about it even more with y’all. Her liver is failing, causing her to have failure to thrive . We have absolutely no idea why her liver is doing this. We are in the process of figuring it out. Whatever it is, it’s extremely rare. We are doing test after test. Tomorrow we do another liver biopsy so hopefully that leads to some new answers. Please pray for us to find answers as to why this is happening so we can treat her properly & get our sweet girl on the road to recovery???

This has been EXTREMELY difficult on myself, my husband & Aniyah. Thank you to everyone who’s reached out. Nobody wants to see someone they love more than anything in the world suffering. My heart is just breaking for my Sweet P. No baby should have to go through this. I’ve got to see who is truly there for myself, my husband and my children this week. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the people who’ve called willing to do anything to help during this time.

Lindsey updated earlier today with another photo (below) of her little warrior Paisley. “If everyone can say a quick prayer for our Sweet P that everything goes well while she’s being put under anesthesia this morning and good outcomes on many tests being done today,” Lindsey captioned the photo, adding the ???? emoji.

If you’ve been following Paisley’s battle, then you know that her previous trips were to see specialists in Houston. So why is the family now in Dallas? I am guessing that it is part because Dallas is roughly 200 miles closer to their home in Lubbock, which would make a road trip instead of helicopter ride more feasible. But it also seems like the family’s trips to Houston were not very helpful. Here is Lindsey’s update from January 26, just after they returned from their most recent trip to Houston:

Paisley Update – Houston was a little pointless to say the least. All we did was blood work/ultra sound. Same stuff we could do here. She wasn’t sure what to make of her results. I got a call from her specialist today saying after she spoke with some of her colleagues she decided we need to cross everything off the list. One of the only things they haven’t checked for is Liver Cancer. So we are going to start with that test & go on to the next step once that comes back as negative (I know it’ll be negative, god is too good to do that to our baby girl) we will watch her liver levels for a couple weeks and if they don’t start going down then we will do another liver biopsy. At this point it’s all just hurry up at wait. We arnt raising a Princess we’re raising a WARRIOR ⚓️? #minime

Our thoughts continue to be with Lindsey and her family. As we have mentioned in all of our previous posts, you can keep up with Paisley’s journey by following Lindsey on Instagram and Twitter, and you can help the Nicholson family with their exorbitant medical costs by donating to the GoFundMe campaign set up for them.
