A new interview from Khloe’s best friend claims that Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s relationship has “husband and wife potential”–which of course has fans and onlookers expecting some sort of formal marriage and / or pregnancy announcement any day now. Malika Haqq recently spoke with E! News and was forthcoming about Khloe and Tristan, who’ve been together just a few weeks shy of a full year.
Malika didn’t address whether Khloe has decided to take her big sister’s advice and hire a surrogate to carry she and Tristan’s baby–but she did confirm that the two are completely mad for each other, and that any breakup rumors (like the ones that hounded the couple earlier this summer) are premature.
“I don’t put timelines on what I think people should be doing, but I believe that Khloe and Tristan do have the makings of a relationship that could stand the test of time,” Malika said. “To me, I think most people would look at them and say, ‘They give you husband and wife potential.'”
In addition, Hollywood Life’s latest take quoted an anonymous insider who claimed that Khloe wants to have a “natural baby” with Tristan. If the quote is legit, that could be the reason why Malika didn’t comment on the widespread speculation regarding Khloe Kardashian’s uterus.

I’m very happy for Khloé and Tristan. They’re just about to be together a year, less than a month from now. They really truly are like the best of friends. They do click, they get along really well. It’s an easy-going relationship because there is no force. They’re like-minded individuals and it shows in their relationship….They’re both very loving. Tristan is actually a Pisces just like me. Everyone just gets along really well. He’s an incredibly likeable person and so is she. It makes sense. She’s really, really happy and that’s what matters the most to me.
There’s also been speculation of late that Tristan is considering jumping from Cleveland to Los Angeles, both to further his NBA career and to be closer to Khloe. A separate InTouch article from just a few weeks ago quoted a different insider who alleged that Los Angeles is “a total fit” for Tristan, who “loves everything about [it]—the weather, the lifestyle, and the healthy living.” However, Tristan has three more years left on the $82 million deal he signed just before the 2015-16 NBA season; short of a trade or an obscure buyout clause, he won’t be a free agent until the summer of 2020.
