Newly released video shows the moment that actor Harrison Ford nearly collided with a jetliner as he mistakenly landed his private aircraft on a taxiway instead of a runway.
In the video, an American Airlines 737 that was carrying 110 passengers and 6 crew members is seen slowly taxiing at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. Han Solo then comes swooping in from the right of the screen in his yellow Aviat Husky and drops in low over top of the jetliner.
In previously released audio Ford is heard asking the air traffic controller, “Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?”
The FAA, which is investigating the incident, said that Ford was given proper landing instructions and even read them back before the nearly disastrous collision.
