Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt make first joint statement about divorce

Hollywood superstars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have released their first joint statement to the press about their divorce.

This newly united front indicates that the pair are willing to keep the details of their split private in the interest of their six children:

“The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues.”

Pitt and Jolie have been engaged in a publicly acrimonious war of words since news of their divorce made headlines.

“The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.,” Monday night’s statement concluded.

The actors currently have a temporary custody agreement which allows Pitt to have supervised visitation with his kids.

angelina two for two breaking up aniston/pitt, billy bob/laura dern. what a biatch. wonder who’s next?

    • Tabitha

Not to negate her involvement, but what about Brad’s accountability for the affair? Or Billy Bobs. Hardly doubt that either one of those men were angels that she had to coerce or prey upon.

Yes, but the fact is, she was okay with not only breaking up one marriage, but two. The first time could have possibly been written off as a naive mistake, (although I have to say, I don’t often hear Angelina described as ‘naive’) but to knowingly and willingly do it again, knowing the consequences of her actions and knowing damn well this was going to be all over the press. She then acted incredibly rudely towards the slighted spouse, ie: a photo shoot of her and Brad pretending to be posing with child models set up to look like a happy family mere months after the upheaval.

There is a sliding scale of shiftiness, and she far exceeds either of the men in this case, because even if they were propositioning her nonstop, she could have and should have said no.

There are very few times when two people cheat with each other and end up in a happy, lasting relationship. Can’t feel badly for them when they pretty much got a dose of karma.

Agreed. It just sucks when children are involved. Hopefully they can get past hurt feelings & focus on their six kids.

I think the best thing to do is PRAY for the six children. The parents are narcisstic self-absorbed individuals.

    God bless these children.
