The Teen Mom OG Season Finale airs next week and will feature the much-anticipated wedding of Maci Bookout and her bearded beau Taylor McKinney. But, for those fans wanting more that just MTV’s video from the event and Brittany Photographs’ amazing wedding pictures — or perhaps for those who didn’t agree with Maci’s color choices — there is a Maci and Taylor wedding adult coloring book coming out!

Officially titled The Maci and Taylor Wedding Album: An Adult Coloring Book, the publication will be released on Valentine’s Day. You can already pre-order your copy from Amazon for a mere $11.99!

Here are the details from the publisher’s description:

Maci Bookout’s storybook romance with Taylor McKinney has culminated in a beautiful wedding—and now you can color it!

From the ceremony at the Honey Lake Plantation Church to the elegant reception, The Maci and Taylor Wedding Album features all the unforgettable moments from Maci’s special day. Color in the bride and groom as they share their first kiss as husband and wife. Join Maci and Taylor as they have their first dance and cut the cake—not to mention the garter toss!

Come join Maci Bookout and her new husband Taylor McKinney as they celebrate their marriage!

The Maci and Taylor Wedding Album features 39 colorable single-sided pages.

I have to confess that I am a little behind the times as far as getting on board the adult coloring book train, but clearly people love them because I see them EVERYWHERE now! Not to mention the fact that Maci isn’t even the first Teen Mom star to publish one as she follows in the foot steps of Teen Mom 2‘s Kail Lowry.

So, I figured I would give this thing a shot and see what the hub-bub is all about. And just so I got an accurate representation of what the Maci and Taylor wedding coloring book experience would be like, I chose a photo of them both on their special day for a trial run.

First, here is the original photo taken by Brittany Photographs:

I took that photo and created black coloring book outlines in Photoshop to get this:

From there I got my virtual crayons out and began coloring! (I suppose I could have printed it out and actually went and bought some crayons, but this was already going to take up hours of my time so I couldn’t justify doubling my time and effort. lol)

Anyways, here is the result:

Um, that’s actually kinda cool. And how was the experience? I’ll be damned if it wasn’t fun! My brain kinda zoned out as it went to that childhood place of just choosing colors and filling in between the lines. And then there were those situations where I was forced to exercise some SERIOUS creativity and coloring skillz because there were no lines — like Taylor’s beard. Yeah, I nailed it. 😉

* PLEASE NOTE: The above sample IS NOT from the actual book.

Because I did the coloring in Photoshop, I was able to take a look at what it looked like without the lines. I dunno, I think it turned out like a pretty good thrift store painting! What do you think?

Maybe not.

In summary, I officially “get” the adult coloring book concept, and I enjoyed the fact that I was coloring in Maci and Taylor specifically. I guess I should go place my pre-order now — and stock up on some crayons.

As fun as the Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney adult coloring book may be, I think they are seriously missing out on an even better interactive publishing concept: The Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney colorform activity book! It could come with basic scenes and photos in which you could apply beards, tattoos, Bud Light cans, TTM apparel and more! It would also come with a colorform TV crew complete with cameras, boom mics, clapboards, etc. Oh, and of course there would be TONS of Bentley stuff like baseball gear, a motorbike, and more. Obviously, my favorite part would be Taylor’s beard. It would be the physical incarnation of our virtual “Taylorize It” kit — which was one of my favorite things ever.

OK, I’ll stop now. I’m guessing the stars of Teen Mom don’t need my advice on merchandising — they seem to be doing quite well on their own.
