Kendall Jenner opens up about health battle in new KUWTK sneak peek
Kendall Jenner’s struggle with anxiety has been hinted at slightly throughout season 12 of E!’s hit reality TV series Keeping Up With The Kardashians. But now the model is finally addressing it herself in a new sneak peek for next week’s episode and she opened up about her health battle to her older sister Kim Kardashian West.

In the clip for the upcoming episode of KUWTK, Kendall sat with her sister Kim and a few close family friends and she complained that felt tired. Kim asked her sister what was wrong and Kendall revealed that she has been struggling with sleep paralysis, which is a sleep disorder that causes sufferers to become temporarily paralyzed and it happens either while they fall asleep or when they wake up, according to People.

Kendall explained that her sleep paralysis happens while she’s asleep. She said it’s as if her mind wakes up while her body is still asleep in the middle of the night.

“So you wake up, but nothing can move,” Kendall said. “It’s the scariest thing in the entire world, you literally think you’re never going to be able to move again. You can’t do anything, you’re freaking out like ‘cause all you wanna do is be able to move so you’re laying there and you’re trying to move…”

“And you can’t communicate it?” Kim asked.

“Nothing,” Kendall said.

“I mean, I thought I was having anxiety,” Kim told the cameras. “This is like so much scarier. I’ve never heard of sleep paralysis and I think it sounds like such a crazy experience and I feel so bad that she’s been going through this.”

Watch the full sneak peek and be sure to catch the next episode of KUWTK, airing Sundays at 9 p.m. on E!

    Drama queens. Lol

Sleep paralysis has happened to me occasionally. I honestly don’t know how severe it can be, but for me it would only last a couple minutes and I was fine afterwards. It sucked as it is uncomfortable, but I was still able to sleep fine otherwise.

    • Dana

Same here. I had it once and it probably lasted about 3 minutes long. Deff scary but I was able to go back to sleep. My insomnia is more annoying.

HEALTH BATTLE? Jfc I thought this chick was going to have an eating disorder or something actually serious. Sleep paralysis sucks and it can mess with your life a lot if it happens constantly but it’s so far from a health battle it’s ridiculous. It’s got nothing to do with her health, and you can’t really prevent or fix sleep paralysis.

Millions of people deal with this. Most of those people have 9-to-5 jobs, not whatever she does.

Is Sleep paralysis like low on energy and lack of sleep?

      • twelfthnight

No, sleep paralysis is when you wake up in the middle of the night but cannot move your body. Your mind works, as if you are awake, but your body will not move.

Having it happen often can disrupt sleep for some people and make them tired during the day. Sleep is disturbed, but it’s nowhere near as bad as insomnia or other sleep disorders are. It’s about the same as having a nightmare, I would say. She’s just being dramatic.

        • CatesZebraHoodie

Someone in the Klan dramatic???? Never!

      • Stacey

It is genuinely terrifying and usually happens when you are over exhausted. It’s even worse when you are sort of trapped in a nightmare and trying to move or scream and nothing is happening. That being said, you wake up, and say “wow that was crappy” and go about your life.

    • CatesZebraHoodie

I deal with it (and horrible anxiety and depression among other things) it does suck but it’s far from a serious health battle. It’s terrifying when it happens and I’ll be exhausted the next day but things could be way worse.

  • FrontDoorMom

  • Pattipandi

Well maybe if u didn’t make a pact with the dark side u wouldn’t be experiencing things like that in the middle of the night. I’m sure she left out the part about seeing the shadow people while she was paralyzed in bed.
