We have some wonderful news to share for fans of Catfish the TV Show as co-host Nev Schulman and fiancee Laura Perlongo are now the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl! Little Cleo James was born at 6:01AM on Friday, Ocotober 21 and weighed in at 6lbs 10oz.
Nev first broke the news yesterday by posting the photo below on Facebook in which you can see mom, pop, and baby together:
Nev shared his over-the-moon thoughts on little Cleo’s birth in the caption:
I am speechless. No words can express the complete joy and total awe I feel for my beautiful partner and the tiny angel we created. I’ve never been so in love. Little baby Cleo and momma are both happy and healthy and doing great. A huge thank you to the ladies of Downtown Women Ob/Gyn, our incredible doula Lindsey from the Carriage House Birth, and the amazing staff at NYU Langone Medical Center. We are so overwhelmed by the quality of care that all of you provided and are so thrilled to be new parents. (6lb 10oz)
Over the next 24 hours, Nev and Laura have continued to share photos and even a video of their “tiny angel baby” on social media, including this next one in which we see Cleo nestling up in her dad’s famous chest nest:
And here’s another photo of the whole trio which Laura posted to Instagram:
“I don’t remember this photo being taken or anything about the last 24 hours,” Laura wrote in the caption, “but bb girl has finally arrived. Completely enamored with 6lb 10oz Cleo James born this morning at 6:01. She’s everything.”
Not long after that photo, Laura shared a short video of Cleo breastfeeding and described it with “Cleo is all of us.”
Nev’s Catfish co-host Max Joseph took to Faceboook to express his joy at becoming a show uncle: “CONGRATS Nev Schulman and Laura and welcome baby CLEO!!!!” Max wrote. “Can’t wait to meet you!”
We completely concur with Max on the CONGRATS part! As far as the not being able to meet Cleo, that applies too assuming she will be making an appearance on the upcoming season of Catfish. 🙂
Amidst all the joy surrounding Cleo’s birth, let’s not forget there is a small bit of sadness too as we all mourn the end of Nev and Laura’s amazingly entertaining baby bump documentation.
