Yesterday, the internet’s collective mind was blown when The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice shared a photo (above) on social media featuring herself and former on-screen nemesis Danielle Staub peacefully enjoying a yoga class together — a far cry from “The Table Flip Heard ‘Round The World” with screams of “Prostitution wh0re!”
“So good catching up with @danielle_staub,” Teresa captioned the photo on Instagram. “Leaving the past in the past and moving forward with only positive vibes. Looking forward to the future 👀”
After their yoga class, Danielle tweeted: “It was so nice seeing you, just like old times…. great talk we had over Jamba Juice!” She added hash tags for #rhonj #yoga and #friends.
After the picture made the rounds on social media and pop culture news outlets, both Teresa and Danielle did interviews in which they answered questions about how the unexpected namaste lovefest came about as well as Danielle’s potential return to RHONJ.
“Andy [Cohen] brought [Danielle] up at the Reunion, and so it sparked something up inside me,” Teresa told E! News in a video interview (included below). “So, I reached out to her on Twitter, and then she responded. I asked her, ‘Are you into yoga?’ and she said ‘Of course!’ So I said ‘Let’s take a yoga class together!’ So we did.”
Here’s the clip:
Teresa is then asked about her thoughts on the possibility of Danielle Staub returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, something Danielle has been campaigning for online for a while now. “Like I said, I never had a problem with her, and I would love her to come back.” Wait, what?! I can believe Teresa is OK with Danielle returning to the show, but to claim “I never had a problem with her” seems a bit absurd.
Teresa further explains: “My thing is, I said what I had to say and that was it. Like, it never went beyond that.”
Teresa then opens up about talking with Danielle about their “feud” after meeting for yoga. “Even when we met, I said to her ‘Why did you tweet mean things about me?’ And she said ‘Well, I hurt.’ So I said ‘OK’ and that’s understandable, but I don’t think she ever went to an extent to try to hurt me in any way. It was just, like, words.”
Teresa says she and Danielle will be taking another yoga class together on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Danielle Staub also addressed her yoga sesh with Teresa in an interview with Al Madrigal on MIC.com. Here’s an excerpt about the Teresa meeting:
AL: What prompted Wednesday’s reunion with Teresa? The last time you two were face-to-face, she nearly assaulted you.
DANIELLE: Teresa reached out to me a few weeks ago wanting to reconnect with me and I immediately said yes. We were talking about yoga mostly and our kids via text message and then, seeing as she has this love for yoga — I don’t think she understood that I’ve been a yogi for eight years and I’m well advanced in my yoga practice — she asked if she could come and take a class with me. I took her to my favorite yogi master and instructor and she joined the class. When she walked in, it was like we just saw each other yesterday; we gave each other a big hug. It was quite beautiful because people were walking up to us asking, “Did we just witness something iconic?”
AL: Are you able to put everything from the past in the past?
DANIELLE: I know we can. We went and had Jamba Juice and discussed everything that had happened. A little bit of tears because I definitely feel like she was heartfelt with the way she wants to acknowledge how she treated me and my children. It takes a really big person to own up to your mistakes. I forgive. You don’t ever forget, but when someone apologizes I have always been able to move on from it as long as I believe it’s genuine. She’s really grown as a person.
As far her potential return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Danielle decided to essentially plead the fifth. “I can neither confirm nor deny,” she said.
So what do you think about Danielle and Teresa seemingly pretending like nothing happened and the increased likelihood of Danielle coming back? Personally, I’m having a hard time. It’s kind of like going to a Batman movie in which he and Lex Luthor are best buds and they spend a great deal of time shooting hoops together.
