Farrah Abraham to be on WEtv reality show, replacing Jenelle Evans

It appears as though MTV is loosening the leash a bit on their biggest reality star Farrah Abraham! After not allowing Farrah to appear on another network’s family therapy show alongside her mother Debra Danielsen because of how similar it was in concept to Teen Mom OG, a decision that would later cause the now-infamous on-camera meltdown in which Farrah verbally assaulted MTV producer Larry Musnik, MTV has apparently signed off on letting Farrah appear on a new family therapy show set to air on WEtv.

News first broke that the Abraham family was working on another small screen project via her dad Michael Abraham’s Facebook page on Saturday when he posted the following photo:

“Traveling to LA with my lovely daughter Farrah!” Michael captioned the picture, adding: “Yes starting a new ‘show’ project which will surprise EVERYONE! Stay tuned the next few months for big announcements!” Michael later confirmed the new TV show venture with Real Mr. Housewife, and after that, The Ashley’s Reality Roundup spilled even more details.

Actually, The Ashley’s details about the show were spilled more than a month ago — when it was supposed to be Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans appearing instead of Farrah!

Here’s the scoop on the show from The Ashley:

From what The Ashley has heard, Jenelle is in talks to appear on a new show on WEtv. It is basically a carbon copy of VH1’s Family Therapy, and will feature a “celebrity” going to on-camera therapy with an estranged family member to work on their relationship. The Ashley doesn’t know the working title for the new show yet, but an industry source connected to the new show has confirmed that this show is happening, and will begin filming in October.

Jenelle’s scheduled appearance along with mom Babs Evans and boyfriend Daid Eason was seemingly put in jeopardy after Jenelle’s pregnancy announcement, but the Teen Mom 2 star recruited the help of an attorney and managed to keep her slot on the show open. But, according to The Ashley, Babs then decided against doing the show. With only David and Jenelle (and their baby to be) left, WEtv opted out — apparently without violating their contract with Jenelle.

So WEtv then just picked up the phone and contacted Farrah, right? Wrong. According to some recent tweets from Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood, she was actually approached next:

Amber’s “little bit of shade” continued:

So will you be tuning in to see Farrah and fam back in therapy? If so, then you will most assuredly want to catch tonight’s episode of Teen Mom OG when the family tensions explode during the preparations for the grand opening of Farrah Abraham’s Froco frozen yogurt restaurant!
