The tabloid equivalent of Bigfoot is coming out of hiding Friday for a press conference in which he is expected to apologize for his infidelities and talk about his future (or lack of future) as a professional golfer.
The full time professional golfer and philanderer hasn’t been seen or heard from in the three months since his Thanksgiving SUV collision with a tree near his Windermere, Florida home. A statement on his website reads:
“While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him. He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that’s what he’s going to discuss.”
The PGA Tour’s website says Tiger Woods will speak at the PGA Tour Headquarters at 11:00 AM ET on Friday, which is right in the middle of the Accenture Match Play Championship, which is one of the sponsors that dropped Tiger because of the scandal. Tiger’s agent Mark Steinberg tells TMZ, “This is all about the next step. He’s looking forward to it.”
