In a weird and confusing twist of events, it was recently reported that 90-year-old Hugh Hefner has died. TMZ alerted the LAPD to the Playboy mansion on a tip that Hef was on death’s door.
News outlets immediately began reaching out to law enforcement to confirm the status of Hef’s health…only to find out he is alive and well!
According to E!, “Hef is 90 years old so he has the health of a 90-year-old. He’s an old man. I’m sure he’s not in the best of shape but it’s just old age. This story always pops up, but as far as I know he’s just very old and there’s nothing really new about that.”
After the false report, Hef himself took to Twitter to confirm he’s not dead.

Despite the reassurance, multiple sources say Hugh isn’t doing all that well.
“He looks like he is down to around 90 pounds and super sick,” according to Page Six claimed. “His people are really trying to keep this under wraps. You even have to sign a confidentiality agreement to go up to see him.”
