Savannah Chrisley takes losing Miss Teen USA in stride

Chrisley Knows Best star Savannah Chrisley knew it was best to keep her chin up, even if she didn’t come out on top in the 2016 Miss Teen USA pageant.

The 18-year-old, who represented the great state of Tennessee, came up short of making the top five after reaching the final fifteen. Just ahead of the big competition, held in Las Vegas over the weekend, Savannah wrote about her anxieties. “Tomorrow the competition officially starts,” she began. “No matter what the outcome is…I have been extremely blessed with great new friendships and I will never stop trying to make a difference in this world.”

After missing the finals, the reality TV star shared a sweet pic of herself embracing Miss Nevada, Chrissa Morrow. “And this is a friendship that will last a lifetime…I may have not have taken home the crown but I sure did take home one heck of a friend!! @carissalynnmorrow (photo when we both made top 15),” she captioned the photo.

And of course the Chrisley clan was in full support of Savannah on social media. “So proud of our girl @_ItsSavannah_ , do your best & God has the rest , u are already a winner to us @MissTeenUSA,” family patriarch Todd Chrisley tweeted.

Her sister Lindsie Chrisley followed suit, “Good luck this weekend @_ItsSavannah_ you are already the winner in our hearts! I love you so much! ❤️???.”

The eventual winner, Miss Texas Teen Karlie Hay, is caught up in a controversy after it was revealed that she used racial slurs in a number of social media posts.

Can someone, anyone, please explain to me why this family is famous/has a reality show?! I even tried to research it and all I can find is that they’re known for being on Chrisley Knows Best. It’s circular and annoying.

I guess because, according to his USA network biography, he’s a “self-made millionaire and successful entrepreneur”. I also love how his wife’s biography doesn’t even get to their marriage until a few sentences in. It starts off by saying she’s a “daughter of a Baptist minister and is Todd’s business partner, best friend and a super mom”. My gaydar continues to ring a ding ding when it comes to Todd.

How rude. I guess if he isn’t all burly, chugging a beer, beating his wife and farting all over the place he isn’t a real man.

Oh Rayne. No one ever said that sweetie. I have my opinion and you have yours. That’s the beauty of the United States.

Headline should read “Reality TV star acts like a normal person and doesn’t throw a sore-loser fit when she doesn’t win pageant”.

I know right? I just love this family and their show. It is so much better than a lot if the trash that is on now days. They are so funny especially Todd.

I don’t watch this show so I can’t say whether I like this family or not.

I just think it’s ridiculous that she’s being praised for not being a giant whiny entitled baby lol.

She would have been a better Miss Teen USA than this person who I think is unfit to wear that crown.

Teen? She looks 40 and the family appears as if there’s some inbreeding
