As we previously reported, Botched plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow and his wife, The Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Heather Dubrow, were scammed out of nearly two million dollars in a South American real estate deal prior to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. One of the key players in convincing Terry and Heather to invest their dough in the deal was New York attorney Steve Czik, who is now suing the Dubrows for extortion and harassment, claiming that they threatened to expose him on social media.
In case you missed it, Terry and Heather were flush with cash after selling their Orange County mansion for $16.45 million in 2013. Their accountant OF 20 YEARS, Gary Hoffman, approached them with a deal involving a woman named Jennifer Lindsey Bell in which they would invest in rental properties in Brazil before the World Cup. Lawyer Steve Czik came aboard to set up a “guarantee” that if the deal went south, Gary would repay the Dubrows in full. As you might have guessed, Jennifer Bell skipped town with the money and the Dubrows were left with nothing after Gary was unable to pay them back.
Terry and Heather launched a very public campaign to track down Jennifer Bell, and they apparently launched a very private campaign to recoup some of the money from lawyer Steve Czik, or else they would make that campaign a very public one as well.

THE ALLEGED EXTORTION: Cizik claims in a new lawsuit, Dr. Dubrow and Heather threatened him like a motha’ … pay up or they’d ruin him. Cizik claims he got an email warning, “Your photo will be published in every magazine and all over Instagram if you don’t pay us,” adding, “how f****** stupid are you?”
And the email went on, calling him a “lying scum sucking ass****.”
He also boasted “TMZ Live” was going to cover the story.
Czik also claims harassment and defamation.
Actually, Terry called out Steve Czik publicly on Twitter on more than one occasion. Here’s an example from January in response to a follower tweeting that Regina Bell should be in prison:

So Terry and Heather are being sued for extorting someone for the money they were defrauded out of? What a mess. And regardless of the validity of the extortion suit, its going to cost the Dubrows a ton of money to defend against it — in addition to the legal expenses they are already on the hook for after suing Jennifer Bell, Steve Czik, and Gary Hoffman. And Czik need not worry too much about legal expenses because he is a lawyer himself!
So far, Heather and Terry have remained quiet about Czik’s lawsuit, but now the cat is out of the bag, I’m guessing they will be speaking about it soon.
