John Legend has come to the defense of his wife Chrissy Teigen after she caught the bad end of some serious mommy shamers on social media.
On April 14, Teigen gave birth to the couple’s first child, baby girl Luna. Three weeks later she went out for dinner without her daughter and the mom judgers came at her full force, criticizing her for stepping out instead of staying at home with her baby.
Teigen laughed it off, kinda, at the time tweeting, “I went to dinner. People are pissed. Good morning.”
The couple celebrated Chrissy’s first Mother’s Day and Legend couldn’t help but sound off on all the people who felt it necessary to pass judgment on his wife:
Funny there's no dad-shaming. When both of us go out to dinner, shame both of us so Chrissy doesn't have to take it all. We'll split it.

Legend, who if he keeps up that kinda public support will become a dad-legend, followed that up with an adorable pic of Luna and a message of thanks to Teigen:
“To my wonderful wife, @chrissyteigen. Luna and I are so lucky to have you in our lives,” he wrote on Instagram. “If our daughter can be as half as awesome as you, I will be so happy and proud. Happy 1st Mother’s Day!”
