Little People Big World stars Jeremy Roloff and wife Audrey Roloff had a frightening moment this week, as they were both involved in a motorcycle accident that left Audrey hospitalized. The accident happened just days after Audrey surprised Jeremy with the motorcycle as an early 26th birthday present.
Audrey shared the photo of herself at the hospital above on her social media accounts this weekend, and explained what happened. “We got hit by a car on Jer’s new bike going 10 mph yesterday. It was my first time riding on the bike with Jer,” she wrote.
Thankfully, Jeremy and Audrey appear to not be seriously injured — due in part to the low speed, but also because they were wearing the appropriate riding gear. “By the grace of God we are both ok,” Audrey revealed. “The boxes on the bike saved the bike as well, we had our carhartts and jeans on to save our skin, and we landed in a farmers field.” A Facebook commenter asked if the duo were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, and Audrey responded: “Yesss.”
Here’ a photo shared by Jeremy on Friday in which he is astride his new bike and Audrey looks to be riding behind him — I assume it was not long before the accident:
“I love this girl,” Jeremy captioned the picture.
Audrey went on to talk more about the moments just after the crash. “I was terrified that the bike had fallen on Jeremy,” she recalled. “As soon as I realized he was ok, I realized how much pain my shoulder was in. It had dislocated, and when I popped it back in, the pain doubled, my vision blurred, I was rolled into the ambulance, and I prayed fragmented sentences.” She humbly added, “It’s one of those moments that shocks you to the core…We are both so thankful. It could have been much worse.”
Audrey added that she would be providing further updates on her blog this week — “both the good and the bad.”
