Nick Carter, Backstreet Boys singer, Dancing With the Stars runner-up and star of I Heart Nick Carter, has welcomed his first child, a son, with wife Lauren Carter.
ET reports (it was retweeted by Nick so it’s official) that Odin Reign Carter arrived after 30 hours of labor during a home water birth yesterday. The pair managed to keep their son’s name private until after the good news.
Nick, 36, got emotional while talking about what a great mother he believes Lauren will be. “I don’t want to get all sappy, but she’s the reason I felt comfortable, and I knew that she would be the perfect mother. She would be able to help me teach our child all the things that he needs to learn,” he said.
Nick and Lauren got married on April 12, 2014. In November it was revealed live on Dancing With the Stars that they were expecting a son.
