2015 ushered in a new type of viral phenomenon known as The Dress. A Tumblr user uploaded a photo asking readers, “guys please help me – is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can’t agree and we are freaking the f*** out.”
The photo sparked debate across the internet with some seeing white and gold and others seeing blue and black. As it turns out, the dress is actually blue and black.
A year later, it looks like we have another “What color is it?” phenomenon— this time with an Adidas zip-up jacket.
This story also stems from a Tumbler user innocently asking, “I hate to make a new blue/black white/gold dress meme but my friend has this jacket and she says it’s white and blue but i see black and brown pls tell me what you see.”
When I first saw the jacket, I assumed it was a stupid stunt. I mean, clearly the jacket is brown and black, right? Not so says a TMZ poll.
Over 20,000 people have voted so far, and it looks like we have another #TheDress debate on our hands.
