Amy Duggar confirms she had premarital sex, throws shade at virginal cousins

Dillon and Amy King Married

Normally, a headline in which a celebrity “confirms” he or she had premarital sex wouldn’t big a big deal. But, in the world of the Duggars, where kissing is all but forbidden before vows are exchanged, it’s a different story… The kind that earns you a People cover, apparently. In this week’s edition, “rebel” Amy Duggar talks about dating lots of “frogs” before marrying Dillon King last summer.

“I used to date bodybuilder types. But they just turned out to be one dud after another,” newlywed Amy King said. “I can at least count six guys I’ve dated. As soon as I discovered a major flaw like a temper or anything like that, I realized really quickly I didn’t need that in my life.”

Despite all that self-described “jumping” around, Amy said she doesn’t have any regrets about her relationship history. (Well, maybe the part that got her involved in an extortion scandal.) She explained, “I’m glad I dated that much before marriage because it showed me what kind of characteristics I wanted to find and the personalities that worked well with mine.”

Although she and eventual hubby Dillon established a “thin line of boundaries” in their relationship that excluded sex before marriage, she confirmed neither of them were virgins before they began dating.

“What if you get married and then that connection isn’t there?” Amy wondered, saying kissing should happen at the very least. “I think that if I was a virgin on my wedding night and had never been kissed, I would end up rocking in the corner! That is so much emotion all at once.”
