The budding romance between Khloe Kardashian and James Harden is anything but appropriate, according to members of Lamar Odom’s camp. Several Odom supporters have come out with some strong words against Khloe, who they say is making things hard on Lamar by leaving his bedside to spend time with Harden.
Last week, Khloe Kardashian and James Harden confused some observers and shocked others when they revealed that their relationship, far from being called off in the wake of Khloe Kardashian’s divorce dismissal, was in fact very much on. The expectation was that Khloe would be sticking with Lamar as he continues his long recovery from October’s drug overdose and subsequent seizures; it was by Khloe’s request that the California judge whom she’d petitioned for a divorce instead threw the petition out.
However, Khloe only called off the divorce in order to assume control of Odom’s financial and medical situation, and to protect him from what she called the “vultures” who were out to get him. “I still love him,” she acknowledged–but she also said that a romantic relationship was off the table for the time being.
Then, Khloe jetted off to Houston in the middle of the week, to take in Harden’s NBA season opening game with the Rockets. Condemnation from Odom’s camp was swift. According to the latest report, at least one source close to Odom went on record saying that what Khloe was doing was not only misleading–it was downright mean.
“Lamar’s closest friends and family have been really mad at Khloe since she convinced him to stop their divorce,” said the source, who made no attempt to hide his displeasure with the Kardashian’s ways. “The fact that Khloe can call the shots about Lamar while she is still with James is ridiculous! [Khloe] shouldn’t have anything to do with Lamar’s medical or financial decisions.”
And, as far as leaving Odom’s bedside to attend a basketball game in another state, the source came down hard: “Khloe’s trip to see James was a slap in the face to Lamar,” the source continued. “She clearly isn’t concerned about Lamar if she’s off with her boyfriend, who she has always been in contact with while Lamar professed his love to her. So why does she still have control over Lamar?”
And, while Khloe Kardashian and James Harden’s relationship appears to be moving along smoothly, Khloe defended herself with a subtle Halloween comeback via Twitter this weekend. Yesterday, she shared a simple photo–but one which seemed to suggest that she was spending the day in a hospital room:

And just this afternoon, Khloe tweeted her apologies for being “MIA” on social media recently–which, of course, is because she’s been with Lamar:
