A Florida man disemboweled his girlfriend during rough sex when the girlfriend cried out an ex-husband’s name. According to the police report the Florida man admitted he turned into a “monster” after the girlfriend said the name.
Florida man Fidel Lopez, 24, of Broward County FL, is accused of killing girlfriend Maria Nemeth, 31, by pulling out her intestines. Before the incident, the two were having rough, “alcohol-fueled” sex in the closet of the apartment they shared. The police report says Lopez’s claimed Nemeth “was so drunk that she passed out”–but not before shouting her ex-lover’s name in the heat of passion.
At that point, Lopez–by his own admission–turned into a “monster,” and flew about the apartment in a rage.
He shattered a sliding glass door, ripped a closet door off its hinges, and punched holes into a wall, before he returned to the unconscious Nemeth, disemboweled her, and then splashed water on her face to try and revive her.
After that, Lopez says he washed his hands so he could go outside for a cigarette before calling the police.
When police arrived, they found Lopez naked and crying for help next to Nemeth. Blood “and bodily tissue” streaked the walls, and a bottle of tequila, plus sliced limes, were on display in the kitchen. The arresting officers said Lopez blamed Nemeth’s death on the violence of the sex the two had been havng, and further blamed the amount of alcohol both had consumed.
He has since been charged with first-degree murder, and is being held without bond.
Nemeth’s neighbors described their apartment complex’s leasing agent as “very gentle, very private.” Fellow resident Dan Carter told NBC Miami “[She was a] soft-spoken young lady. We all loved her. Very pleasant young lady.”
