Janel Koloski, a nanny in NYC, is giving up her days racing after rug-rats for her dream job. Janel will be hosting her own five-part web series on TravelChannel.com. On last night’s finale of Travel Channel Star, Janel was crowned the show’s very first winner, giving us a chance to see through her unique perspective. The first stop on her tour? Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she’ll explore the city’s history, art, and unique culture.
But who exactly is Janel? She’s someone with a lot of love, and not just for travel. While she currently lives in New York, she’s originally from Greensburg, Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education. Every job she has held has involved working with the disabled, something she considers to be a calling. In her spare time, Janel loves to dance, visit museums, try new foods, and paint and draw when she can. These are all the sorts of hobbies she’ll have plenty of time to explore as she hits the road with her new series. We’ll see you on the road, Janel!
