Once known for making headlines for his role in one of the world’s most famous boy bands, ex-One Directioner Zayn Malik has been in the news lately for outspoken tweets to everyone from his former bandmates to a producer he worked with after his abrupt departure. Now, Zayn is at it again, throwing shade at his ex-fiancee Perrie Edwards…and Taylor Swift.
After his departure from One Direction back in March, Zayn has not held back from sharing his true feelings on Twitter. He fired the first shots back in May when he began working with producer Naughty Boy, and a Twitter war erupted between Zayn and former bandmate Louis Tomlinson. Then, in July, Zayne turned his online anger toward Naughty Boy, calling him a “fake joke”–to which Naughty Boy responded by comparing Zayn to a “little girl.”
Zayn has now moved on to his ex-fiancee Perrie Edwards, of the girl group Little Mix. The two broke up earlier this month and while both have remained relatively quiet about the breakup, Zayn threw some serious shade at Little Mix. Shady Music Facts tweeted a post asking fans to pick between Little Mix’s “Black Magic” and Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It.” Votes for Fifth Harmony were tabulated by number of retweets, while Little Mix fans voted by favoriting the post. Zayn voted against his ex-fiancee by retweeting the status.

Nor was Perrie the only one of Zayn’s Twitter targets. Just days later, Zayne reposted statements from Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, seemingly agreeing with Miley’s stance on fans not purchasing her music.

Taylor’s current beau, Calvin Harris, obviously didn’t agree with the retweet, and took a few jabs at Zayne:

Zayn responded with a few online insults of his own, even poking at Calvin’s age by referring to his “dentures” and telling him to “calm his knickers.”

Calvin then attempted to backtrack and end the feud by blaming the quote, not Zayne’s retweet of it, for his tweets. However, Zayn responded with a colorful insult aimed at the producer.

The anti-climax came when Calvin simply gave Zayne a parting compliment.

This summer seems to be the season of the pop music Twitter feud. Taylor Swift’s also had her own brief feud with Nicki Minja, while Nicki’s boyfriend Meek Mill attacked rapper Drake through the social media network.
