A host of new rumors has Food Network stars Bobby Flay and Giada de Laurentiis together. Giada continues to deny all rumors, while Bobby remains silent. The pair have been linked romantically before; reports connecting them go back for several months, ever since Bobby Flay and Giada both filed for divorce from their spouses within a few weeks of each other. Plus, now Bobby’s divorce is final, and he and Giada allegedly (very allegedly, but still) both held hands under and carved their initials into the table while having dinner together not long ago.
Giada herself recently spoke out regarding the rumors. In an interview with Extra, the celebrity chef said that the past year of her life has been unusually tumultuous–which is part of the reason why her new cookbook is called Happy Cooking; she’s trying to remind herself of all the good times she’s had in the kitchen.
Giada elaborated thusly:
The last year of my life has been a little more tumultuous, and I’ve sort of started a new life on my own with my daughter. Cooking has really sort of redefined my life in a way that truly the moment of inspiration and true happiness is when I’m in the kitchen….[As far as Bobby goes], people are going to write what people are going to write. Luckily, my daughter’s still young enough that I can shelter her a little bit from it all, but I deal with it and I don’t really respond to it, and I move past it. It’s going to be what it’s going to be.
Bobby Flay and Giada certainly have a natural rapport. Here’s a clip of a joint interview they did with the New York Times from a couple years back.
