For the first time in four pregnancies, Anna Duggar is overdue.
“Well, sweet Anna is now past her due date! First time she has ever gone “late” instead of early,” the family said on Facebook yesterday, two days after Anna’s due date. “Here she is with our Jessa. Be praying for these girls. Pretty soon we will get to kiss the sweet face of another Duggar grandbaby!!!”
The fact that this is the time Anna’s gone past her due date is pretty surprising, considering high levels of stress — including stress caused by “negative life experiences” — are linked to early deliveries. There is little doubt Anna’s been dealing with that type of stress since her husband’s police report was revealed, he resigned from his job, and the family moved back to Arkansas.
Jessa, who identified herself as a victim of Josh’s “inappropriate touching,” has likely also been under a great deal of stress. Fortunately, she said her pregnancy is going well.
“Baby Seewald is growing steadily and Mommy has been feeling some little, yet strong, kicks,” Jessa and Ben Seewald said in a blog post last month. “We recently had an ultrasound, but aren’t revealing our firstborn’s gender yet. Can’t wait to welcome this blessing from God into the world!”
Jessa is due on November 1, her first wedding anniversary.
