PHOTOS Honey Boo Boo’s sister Jessica ‘Chubbs’ Shannon graduates high school, first in family to do so

Honey Boo Boo family photo 2015

Things seem to be looking up for the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo family! Mama June and Honey Boo Boo are reportedly having success losing weight with celebrity trainer Natasha Fett; oldest sister Anna announced in April that she is expecting her second child with husband Michael; and, this weekend, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon became the first in the family to graduate high school!

Jessica’s graduation brought the entire clan together for the rare (of late) family photo above that includes (from left to right) Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon (holding Anna’s daughter Kaitlyn), Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, “Mama June” Shannon, and Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell. (It seems Uncle Poodle was not in attendance.)

Here’s another photo of Jessica proudly holding her high school diploma from Wilkinson County High School:

And another of her walking the stage just before being handed her parchment:

Mama June shared all of these photos on Facebook this weekend and wrote, “She made it,” adding, “so proud of Jessica first one to graduate.” After the hashtags ‪#‎proudmoment‬ ‪#‎wilcohigh‬ ‪#‎2k15graduation‬ ‪#‎emotional‬ Mama June revealed that Jessica is “college bound August 17th” when she will head off to South Georgia State College in Douglas, Georgia, to attend nursing school.

Mama June was grateful that her oldest daughter Anna and daughter Kaitlyn were there despite the recent fall out between mother and daughter. “Got to spend time with gigis baby and anna too,” she wrote with the ‪#‎lovingthefamilytime‬ hashtag.

Anna, who revealed in a video back in January that she never actually graduated high school and is still working towards getting her GED, shared her congratulations as well. “Proud that my sister graduated and soon going to college to be a nurse,” she wrote on Facebook after the ceremony, adding “hope she does great and I know she will.” She also expressed appreciation for “fun with family.”

Mama June even created a Flipagram slideshow tribute in honor of Jessica’s graduation! (I should warn you that there are a lot of photos and they fly by REALLY fast.)
