Sarah Stage, the lingerie model whose toned baby bump seemed to defy logic, welcomed healthy baby boy James Hunter on Tuesday — and the not-so-little guy measured in at 8 lbs. 7 oz. and 22 inches long. That’s the 75th percentile for weight and 95th percentile for length!
“He’s a big healthy boy and he got an APGAR score of 8-9,” Sarah told E! News.
Sarah gained a large following of admirers and some critics when she was eight months along because of her mind-boggling small and ultra-toned baby bump.
She continued posting revealing belly photos all the way up until the day before her birth (shown at top). Although she never directly addressed the concerns her size could negative affect the baby, OB/GYN Dr. Jennifer Ashton defended Sarah earlier this month by saying the model’s visible muscles didn’t mean she wasn’t having a healthy pregnancy.
“The fact that she looks skinny on Instagram does not mean her baby growth is restricted or too small,” the doctor said. “It has nothing to do if you can see her muscles if her uterus is the perfect size and she has gained an amount of weight that is acceptable.”
