MTV’s The Challenge veteran Sarah Rice admits this season will be her last; find out why

Sarah and Jordan

For fans of MTV’s The Challenge, there are few competitors more fun to watch than Sarah Rice. We first met Sarah back in 2009 when she appeared on The Real World Brooklyn as the tattooed, artsy-fartsy girl. She later went on to compete in 8 challenges including this season’s Battle of the Exes II.

While Sarah has made it to the finals before, she has yet to claim a victory. And, unless she pulls out a first place win on the season finale tonight, Sarah may never have the chance again. The elementary school art teacher has admitted she will be retiring from The Challenge after this season.

Earlier this year, Sarah made the announcement to fans but explained the reasons why this week saying, “Yes it is [my last ‘Challenge]. Im getting married in May & starting grad school & Being gone for 60 days is too long! + babies are In the future.”

Ashley’s Reality Roundup reported that Sarah got engaged to Landon Patterson last October, and they are planning to tie the knot in May. Even though her romantic relationship with fellow cast mate Jordan Wiseley clearly didn’t work out, Sarah confirmed he will be a guest at her wedding.

The veteran has frequently voiced her love of competing. She even claimed the reason she went on the Real World was to have the opportunity to be part of The Challenge.

While Sarah is clearly moving on with her life outside of reality TV, it’s hard to imagine her walking away without claiming a first place victory.

So, does that mean she and Jordan won Battle of the Exes II and decided to hang her hat up on a high note? If you remember when we reported on the new season back in December, Jordan and Sarah were slated to make it to the end.

We will find out when the season finale of The Challenge: Battle of the Exes II airs tonight on at 9/8c on MTV.
