Reality TV producer Jill Blackstone suspected in deaf sister’s murder

Jill Blackstone Arrested for Sister's Murder

Prolific reality show producer Jill Blackstone was arrested this week on suspicion of her deaf sister’s murder. She was later released, but remains under investigation.

According to law enforcement sources who spoke to TMZ, Jill called 911 on Monday to report finding her sister and dogs dead in the garage of the home they shared.

Jill suggested her sister, Wendy Blackstone, killed herself by carbon monoxide poisoning. Jill told investigators she also passed out in the garage from noxious gases and may have suffered a stroke, but she eventually came to and was able to call for help. However, police became suspicious upon analyzing the suicide note. In an update this morning, TMZ says police “have concluded the note was written by Jill.”

Jill was originally held on $1 million bail, but was released on Wednesday as the LAPD continues its investigation. Los Angeles police Lt. Bob Toledo confirmed to the L.A. Times that no charges have been filed. Police will know more once the Coroner’s Office gets toxicology results on Wendy.

On her personal website, Jill said she’s produced Family Court, The Tony Danza Show, HGTV’s Design Club and more. She also said she founded a “non-profit organization for rescuing and re-homing dogs in need” and has “a family and friends and hobbies.”
