One of the tragedies of Teen Mom 3‘s cancellation is what we never got the chance to meet Mackenzie McKee’s daughter, Jaxie. Fortunately, the ultra-fit mother-of-two keeps fans updated on social media — and recently shared pictures from the adorable little girl’s first birthday.
“A year ago today I gave birth to the most beautiful happiest 8 pound 9 ounce girl on this earth. I never knew I wanted or needed a girl but God always knows what he is doing,” Mackenzie said on Instagram on Saturday. “Idk how I had such a good baby but she truly is perfect. She amazes me every day with her joyful attitude. I love you pooky Poo jaxie Tador tot.”
The McKees were occupied for the rest of the weekend with an out-of-town cheer competition for Mackenzie, but threw a cute first birthday party upon their return.
As Mackenzie said, the small gathering was monkey-themed. She even made the impressive cake, which was apparently outside of her comfort zone. She joked on Twitter, “Ain’t to bad for someone who is HORRIBLE at this kind of stuff.”
Of course, how cute it was didn’t really matter to Jaxie. 😉
The party also proves just how long it’s been since we’ve seen “Mackenzie Douthit” (as she was then known) or her Teen Mom 3 co-stars on the air… Now, I know there were mixed opinions about the show, which ended after one season. But, at the very least, I wish MTV would do an update so we could see just how cute the kids are — and formally meet Jaxie for the first time!
