19 Kids and Counting‘s Derick and Jill Dillard celebrated their first Christmas ever together yesterday.
“This has been the best Christmas, especially since we’re man and wife now,” Derick said in the caption for the top picture. “Much better than last year when we were 8,000 miles apart!”
But, of course, the pair wasn’t entirely alone…
“As we rejoice in the celebrations around the birth of Jesus Christ, we thank God for our precious little gift,” Jill said on Instagram, along with a verse from the Bible. She reinforced the point by wrapping her growing belly with a bow and writing a tag that said “To: Jill and Derick, From: God.”
On top of it all, Jill and Derick spent the holiday with her large family — and some friends from the equally large Bates family.
“We are so thankful to have all the Duggars with us this Christmas,” Michelle and Jim Bob said on Facebook. “Great grandma Duggar, all 19 Kids, one pregnant daughter-in-law, one-pregnant-daughter, two sons-in-law, five grandchildren (two pre-born).”
Before all of the festivities got underway, the family offered a look at what it takes to pull off such a big event.
By this time next year, both Jill and older brother Josh Duggar will have new babies: Jill is due in March and Anna Duggar is expecting her fourth in June.
