AMC releases first clip and poster for Better Call Saul

Poster

The bits and pieces of new Better Call Saul information are coming fast and furious, these days–there’s a new teaser trailer or interview excerpt most every time you turn around. The show debuts February 8th at 10 EST, and the two-hour premiere concludes on February 9th at 9. In celebration of the event, AMC has released a new poster for the show, featuring a frustrated Saul Goodman (whose name is Jimmy McGill on the show), and a mysterious pay phone in the middle of the desert. Things really were stranger in 2002.

What isn’t strange at all is what happens at the first path-crossing of McGill and Breaking Bad fan favorite Mike Ehrmantrout. In the first proper Better Call Saul footage released by AMC, we see Jimmy and Mike have an…let’s call it an encounter at the gate of a parking lot. As is the case with most such “encounters” with Mike, this one does not end well for the other person.

On a related note: Hey guys, Mike’s back! Isn’t that great? He’s got, like, a good decade in front of him, before he’s killed needlessly by Walt and has a beautiful and still-shocking death. (Sorry if you didn’t know that yet, but the statute of limitations of expired on that particular spoiler.) Any show with Mike in it is bound to be at least amusing, if not outright good.

T-Minus 50 days until Better Call Saul hits our screens, people. Synchronize your watches.
