For the third time in the past few years, Teen Mom 2‘s Chelsea Houska is mourning the loss of a pet dog.
“My heart hurts so much. After surgery, Darla had some complications pulling through and we lost our sweet and very loving dog,” Chelsea said of the pup on Instagram today. “She’s been with us through a lot and she has been such a great friend to Aubree and I. We miss you Dar.”
The loss of a beloved pet is never easy, but this has to be especially traumatic for Chelsea, whose puppy Frankie was killed by a neighbor’s Husky in 2012. (That sad scene was shown in a January 2013 episode of Teen Mom 2.) The year before that, she lost beloved pug Pixie. Fortunately, Chelsea and Aubree can be comforted by their Great Dane, Phil.
