AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd arrested for allegedly plotting to murder two men

Phil Rudd AC-DC Arrested

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been charged with trying to procure the murders of two men in New Zealand.

According to TVNZ, the 60-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee was arrested after police in Tauranga searched his home on a tip from the public. Phil was also charged with threatening to kill, possession of methamphetamine and possession of cannabis. He didn’t enter a plea in court today and left on bail.

The names of the men Phil wanted to have killed and the name of the hit man he intended to use haven’t been released. The alleged hit man anonymously told The Daily Telegraph that Phil is “a good fella,” but has burnt bridges while running a gentlemen’s parlor.

“You’ve got to feel sorry for him — just the expectations everyone has of him,” said the man, who reportedly worked as Phil’s bodyguard. “He’s got a big heart.”

Phil is due back in court on Nov. 27.
