Petite Nashville star Hayden Panettiere said she fully expected to gain weight during her first pregnancy — but has been surprised by how many extra pounds she’s put on her 5′ 2″ frame.
“I started out at 106 pounds and guess how much I weight now? Around 145 pounds,” she told the U.K.’s Hello! Magazine. “And the worst part is that my feet are still size five and they’re going, ‘What’s going on with all this weight?’ They’re about to snap from underneath me with the strain.”
Hayden said part of the extra weight gain may be because of the muscle she’s built by carrying around the bump. It likely also has something to do with the fact the baby girl got half its genes from Hayden’s 6′ 6″ fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko.
Even though the expectant mother doesn’t sound like she’s particularly comfortable with the extra weight, she proved she’s still comfortable in her own skin by showing off her bare baby bump in a sultry picture of her Halloween costume…
Still, she plans to wait a while after the baby arrives before walking down the aisle: “I’ll tell you one thing for sure, I am not walking down the aisle 40 pounds heavier than usual in a wedding dress with a huge pregnancy belly stitched in. Not happening!”
