Love and Hip Hop’s Rich Dollaz arrested on hamburger run, owes $21,000 in child support

Rich Dollaz arrested while on Five Guys hamburger run, later held for unpaid child support

It appears that Love & Hip Hop star Rich Dollaz may want to change his first name to Owen because he be Owen Dollaz to the mother of his child — as in $21,000 in unpaid child support! The manager and Dollaz Unlimited CEO was nabbed by police in Edgewater, New Jersey Sunday night after he went for a Five Guys burger run and double parked right behind the police station.

According to NJ.com, police were “taking a look” at the double parked vehicle when Rich Dollaz (real name Richard Trowers, aka Richard Martin-Trowers) exited the nearby Five Guys Burgers and Fries and approached the vehicle.

When asked for his name, ol’ Rich tried to pull one over on the po-po and told them he was Richard Escobar, but cops quickly found out his real identity. Rich Dollaz was cuffed and charged with Hindering Prosecution for lying about his identity, then booked into Bergen County Jail. Monday afternoon he posted the $1,000.01 bail (not sure what the penny was for) and was a free man — for about a minute.

Rich Dollaz had an outstanding warrant in neighboring Hudson County for back child support in the amount of $21,000, so he was taken into custody by Hudson County Sheriff’s officers and taken to the Hudson County Jail. According to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman, Rich Dollaz’ arrest warrant was issued on January 2, 2013 in Hudson County Superior Court Family Division.

Getting out of jail this time is going to cost a few more of Rich’s surname as bail has been set at $10,500, or half of the amount he owes in child support. Rich Dollaz is scheduled to appear in Edgewater Municipal Court for the Hindering Prosecution charge on November 6. “Proceedings in Hudson County Superior Court Family Division are not open to the public,” NJ.com says of his child support issues.
