Hours after defending her mother against claims June Shannon has resumed a relationship with convicted child molester Mark McDaniel, Anna Cardwell (aka, Chickadee) has reversed her story — and revealed she was the one molested by Mark when she was just 8 years old.
According to TMZ writers in communication with Anna, now 20, she initially believed her mom wasn’t seeing Mark. She even spoke out against the story to Radar Online earlier today.
“I know for a fact it’s not true,” Anna said in a story that was published this morning. “The person behind this, all I got to say is he or she is trying to tear the family apart, which isn’t right one bit.”
However, Anna has since received a lot more information and is now convinced her mom not only lied, but also betrayed her in the worst possible way. Anna gave TMZ permission to reveal she was forced to perform oral sex on Mark when she was just a kid. Anna also said her relationship with her mom is “destroyed” and she will not allow June to see Anna’s daughter, 2-year-old Kaitlyn, if Mark is around.
Even though TLC has canceled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Anna said executives have offered to get her counseling.
