Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes became proud parents last month… And now we know to whom! According to the official birth certificate obtained by TMZ, Ryan and Eva named their baby girl Esmeralda Amada Gosling.
The document notes Esmeralda was born just after 10 a.m. on Sept. 12. Also, Eva’s middle name is “de la Caridad,” which is kind of a fun fact. Another random piece of trivia is that Eva played a character named Amada in 2007’s We Own the Night.
The uncommon middle name means “lovable” in Latin. Esmeralda is a derivative of “emerald” and is currently in the top 300 most-popular baby girl names in the United States.
The ultra private pair never even confirmed they were expecting, but sources close to Ryan and Eva say they are natural parents.
“Ryan is madly in love with the baby,” a source told People last month.
Another insider said Eva is “absolutely in heaven being a mom.” The source added, “She and Ryan are just in awe of this beautiful person they created. It’s a really special time for them.”
