Mike Fisher, who just signed a $21 million contract with the Ottawa Senators, asked country superstar Carrie Underwood to marry him Sunday, the hockey player confirmed today at a press conference. (source: Ottawa Daily Sun)
Mike and Carrie have been dating since last year, and Carrie has hinted in interviews that she wants to settle down and have babies. She also thanks Mike on the liner notes for her latest album, Play On:
“Thank you #12,” she wrote, referring to his jersey number. “You are the most amazing addition to my life! You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person. I love you so much! You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day… xoxo, Carrie.”
No word yet on the size of the rock, hopefully Fisher didn’t spend all the $21 million in one place!
