Kanye West was reportedly rushed to a hospital in Australia Wednesday, just hours before his scheduled concert at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. According to an eyewitness at Melbourne’s Epworth Hospital in Richmond, Kanye was brought into the hospital through a back entrance and doctors “were concerned the artist had suffered a seizure or was about to and requested an urgent MRI.”

The report comes from Woman’s Day Australia, who spoke with Loraine Terry, whose daughter was having an MRI when Kanye and his security team came in.

“My daughter was having an MRI. Shortly after it began, security burst in and cleared the area,” she told the site.

“Next thing we knew, Kanye was stretchered in surrounded by security,” she continues. “He had one side of his face covered with something white. We both knew it was him because we had seen his photo in the paper everyday and we were shocked because it looked so serious.”

“At one stage, one of his security men saw my daughter, who was lying on the MRI machine, turn her head and he insisted she had to go. We were not even properly finished.”

“Everyone was massively panicked,” she added.

Kanye was released from the hospital a couple of hours after arriving and he didn’t let the scare prevent him from performing his scheduled concert.

So far, there has been no official statement from Kanye or his rep. Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian West, who is currently with her hubby in Australia, though she was reportedly not with him at the hospital, has also remained quiet about the health scare.

UPDATE – Kanye and Kim have since left Melbourne and arrived in Sydney, but not until after Kanye was seen in his Melbourne hotel room looking not well. “Kanye didn’t look like he’d slept last night,” a source tells Woman’s Day Australia. “He looked shattered and you could see he wasn’t feeling well.”

The source adds that “Kim was overheard telling people they thought he may be coming down with the flu, but she seemed really worried like it was a lot more than that.”
