After five years of on again and off again flirtations, Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and actress Gabrielle Union have finally gone and done it: The two got married in a beautiful coastal ceremony this weekend.
The $5 million ceremony took place at Miami’s Chateau Artisan, which is a castle built on an island in the middle of a lake. Like you do.
The theme was black-and-white: the men stuck to traditional black tuxedoes, and the women followed the bride’s lead in donning white dresses. Following the ceremony, the attendees celebrated at a 1930s -themed reception. So we can only assume the alcohol flowed like Prohibition just ended.
Wade, 32, and Union, 41, have been an item since 2009. They separated briefly in 2013, during which time Wade fathered a child with another woman.
He and Union became engaged in December of last year–just after their reconciliation. At which point, the million-dollar, 8.5 karat engagement ring was just a formality:
Wade also has two children from an earlier marriage.
Shortly after the ceremony, the beaming groom took to Instagram to post the photo of he, his radiant bride, and their glowing family included at the top of this post.
