Nick Gordon, the husband of Whitney Houston’s daughter, was lucky to survive a serious car accident in Georgia this morning — but still found himself behind bars for driving under the influence.
“Preliminary investigation shows that the vehicle [driven by Nick] attempted to change lanes, struck a curb and overturned, striking a fire hydrant,” Zach Frommer of the Roswell Police Department told Radar Online of the accident, which occurred at 11:37 a.m. “There were no injuries reported and no one was transported to the hospital.”
When police arrived to the scene, they determined Nick was under the influence. He was arrested and charged with a DUI, failing to stay in his lane and driving with a suspended license. He is currently in custody at the Roswell Detention Center.
Wife Bobbi Kristina was not present in the vehicle and hasn’t commented on her husband’s accident. The morning before, she posted a picture of them on Twitter and said, “My incredible husband @nickdgordon & I :)(: LateNight! Haha we are a gooftroop & proud 🙂 GoodMorningevery1!:) YAAY”
Nick’s most recent tweet is also a picture of the couple on Wednesday. Bobbi Kristina last made waves in July when she posted an old picture of her using a bong to announce she actually quit using drugs “as of recently.”
