Bring It’s Miss D says her adult film past helps her coaching

Bring It Miss D Dianna Williams

On Lifetime’s Bring It, Miss D helps her troupe of hip-hop dancers with more than choreography…

“Miss D has a well-earned reputation for being both a fierce competitor and a phenomenal mentor who teaches her students the importance of a good education, persistence and positive self worth,” Lifetime says of the Dancing Dolls coach, whose full name is Dianna Williams.

However, the nature of the personal experiences she brings to the plate have raised the eyebrows of some viewers: Miss D admits to participating in a number of adult films during her late teenage years.

“The girls know about my past. We’ve talked about it. They know about why I did what I did and why I felt like I needed to and what I should have done,” she told Madame Noire this month. “I explain to them that I didn’t have the support that system that they have.”

Dianna, now 35, said she anticipated viewers of Bring It would criticize her past, but she decided to go forward with the show after a lot of thought.

“I originally said no because I felt like my past was going to hurt my kids… [But] after talking to the producers about my life and making decisions that could benefit somebody else and getting over it basically,” she said. “I prayed about it. I talked to my husband about it, who was aware when we started dating.”

Speaking to Christian Post before Bring It‘s premiere last spring, Miss D said she thinks her experience actually helps her as a coach because the girls can better relate to her.

“These kids… They’re like me,” she said in March. “I tell them, ‘Utilize me as a walking, talking example of what not to do as a kid.’ But at the same time I want them to understand that people make mistakes and there is a God out there that does forgive and allows you to redeem yourself and move on.”

Bring It airs on Lifetimes on Wednesdays at 9/8c.

No one is perfect gtfoh with your holy than thou judgment

    • Dede

I think she has guts to have a show after her past and be open about it

That’s what ignorance does to a person. IT clouds OUR judgement, forcing us to have preconceived notions AND fearing the UNKNOWN. The woman admitted admitted to her wrong doing AND IS utilizing those WRONG DOINGS AS A TOOL TO TEACH THE YOUNGER GENERATION WHAT NOT TO DO. THAT ATTITUDE YOU HAVE IS NO DIFFERENT N RACISM. A PREJUDICE AND FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN AS I STATED BEFORE. SUPPOSE YOU GOT INTO A FATAL CAR ACCIDENT, KILLING ANOTHER DRIVER AND/OR THEIR PARTYTOMORROW, AND IT WAS UR FAULT, ALTHOUGH YOU WISH IT HAD NEVER HAPPENED AND U WERE REPEATEDLY APOLOGETIC, BUT AFTER SUCH AN ORDEAL THE COURTS BANNED YOU FROM BEING AROUND CHILDREN INCLUDING YOUR OWN BCUZ OF THIS INCIDENT????? JUST THE THOUGHT OF IT DOESN’T FEEL TOO HOT NOW DOES IT??? U MIGHT THINK IT’S A LAME EXAMPLE BUT THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS PUTTING YOURSELF IN THE OTHER PERSONS SHOES. NO ONE ON THIS EARTH IS EXEMPT FROM LIFE’S HAPPENINGS. STOP BEING SO SELF RIGHTEOUS.

You never know. At least she admitted it & she’s good with God about. Seriously, we’re not with our children 24/7, so we can’t say who they’ll end up around.

How can u say that u don’t know what u would do if u back up against the wall so don’t judge her are hate on her

  • thanks

I just got into the show today and my friend told me about her past. I was like whaaâtttttt, she wouldn’t be around my kids. But then in the same thought I was who am I to judge this amazing woman. Not everyone was fortunate enough and she lived through it and her work is to give support to other young ladies not to follow her steps. I appreciate people who teach from experience. God is the only person with a clean pass, present and future. Miss D I’m so happy God saved and you didn’t forget it.

Just because she’s been in adult films doesn’t make her a bad person. She’s grown up a lot & she knows what she did back in her days was wrong. I love the fact that she straight up told her dancers. Maybe some of y’all wouldn’t want your kids to know, but I think its best that she told them all. She’s a great teacher and loves her students. That’s all that matters.

  • mariajsutme

I love her! She treats those kids with respect. Shes a good and tough teacher, kids need that structure. She not some whack job like Abby atleast! I would so send my kid to her if she was here in NY. So she made some bad choices in her youth, who hasn’t? She owned them though, and I respect her for it. This woman seems very real, which is alot more than I can say about the other crap on TV.

  • Shai

I love her… She’s real and she cares so much for those kids.. I respect Diana..

Mrs. Williams is teaching these young people what it is going to take to get along in the real world. Her past is her past. We all have one. I wish her continued success because her success is the success of her students. She is giving them the tools and it up to them use those tools to realize their full potential. What a great feeling.

The people that dont like MissD’s past need to shut the hell up. How about we look into your closet and see what’s in yours. This woman is wonderful leave her the hell alone and let her live her life in peace for god sakes. She has enough to worry about dealing with that damn Neva woman from Olive Branch. That damn Neva

  • Chrisandra Jones

Half of you ppl talking about she wouldn’t be around your kids are acting like she’s a pedophile. She made adult films who gives a shit yall prolly watch them too. Stop judging a person by there past and just focus on yaself cuz guess wat… She’s still clocking more dollas than you. #Boom

  • Monica

I can completely understand her. She felt like she was doing what she had to in order to support her family. She regrets it and had asked God for his forgiveness which he loving does and has. I know I made decisions in my past I’m not proud of and just like her God gave me his love and forgiveness when I gave my life to him. Sister, you don’t have to live by anyone’s judgement other than God. Bless you and ignore the haters!

  • Angela Winbush

Everyone makes choices that there not proud of Mrs D turned her choices into good ones helping others and ur doing a wonderful job god has forgive u so keep moving forward I love ur show

  • Kandy Champaigne

I love Ms.D. She keeps it real . Which a lot of ppl don’t . Everyone has a pass maybe not the same. But we’ve all done some things we’re not proud of . Probably for reasons not even worth doing ! She did what she did made it through safe thank God now it’s over! It’s always easy for folks to look down on others and over look some of their own misfortunes !!! Takes a strong person to let anyone more less the world know . This is what I’ve done now I’m moving on to bigger and better. I’m still one of her and the dolls biggest fans ❤❤❤. Keep pushing forward DD4L.

  • Starchild

Who cares, she did what she did and she moved on. There’s women out here sleeping with “ballers” just to get a few dollars on the night stand…. He without sin cast the first stone !!

  • Sandra Sandra

Mrs. D…….who is to judge you….fuck what everybody has to say. Every female have showed their ass some way or another. Shit Kim K, got rich showing her inflated ass. Don’t be ashamed, embarrassed. Your happy and don’t give a shit what hatters has to say or think. I love you and your show……keep doing you girl

  • Sandra Sandra

No disrespect Mrs. D….but you a Bad Bitch….in a good way. Hatters going to always hate.

  • alethia ryther

    And… Whats her “xxx” name?
    Its for a homework!!

  • Karla Jones

Miss D, I just started watching DD4L and I was instantly hooked..Please don’t stop the show because of what happened in ur past. I too have done things in my past that I’m not proud of and if my family finds out they will have a cow but that’s their problem not mine. As long as the Lord is on your side and has forgiven u that’s all that matters. Don’t let ur family bring up ur past or put u down. Their opinion does not matter only the Lord’s. I say that from experience. I say screw my family they have skeletons too so don’t worry about me. U are doing an excellent job with all the young ladies and they all respect u so keep being u and let ur light shine for ur family and the DD4L girls. Thank u for being u.

  • Demetris Rush

I watch her show all the time and hey if she was into adult films then so be it i know ppl did worse than that she’s a great coach one of the best I’ve seen and if she wanted to get out of the adult business to help kids then to me that’s a big step and I aplaud her for that so keep up the good work Mrs D and keep brushing them haters off lol

  • Henrietta Sims

We still LOVE you, Mrs. Williams, regardless.

  • Aishia Brady

I feel that she is truly genuine she has the best interest in heart for all of those girls and also for the future young ladies… Everyone has a past some worse than others. As long as you are walking this earth, you can start a new chapter every single day if you allow yourself to do so …DD4L 🙏🏾

  • brioniman

She looks like a straight man. Her husband must be part gay because she looks like a man. Wow bruh how could you hit that. If she was in adult film how could the male actor get it up for her?
