New mom Olivia Wilde covers the September 2014 edition of Glamour — but it’s the photographs within the magazine of her with son Otis that are really stunning.
“Being shot with Otis is so perfect because any portrait of me right now isn’t complete without my identity as a mother being a part of that,” the actress told editor-in-chief Cindi Leive.
Although Olivia said motherhood isn’t making her sacrifice her career.
“My mom is such a bada** working mother,” said Olivia, 30. “That inspired me when I was pregnant. I wasn’t going to sacrifice myself because I was becoming a mother.”
She added that the picture of her feeding Otis amidst a photoshoot appropriately captures the dynamics of her life right now.
“Breastfeeding is the most natural thing. I don’t know, now it feels like Otis should always be on my breast,” she said. “It felt like we were capturing that multifaceted woman we’ve been discussing — that we know we can be.”
As for the other leading man in her life, fiancé Jason Sudeikis, Olivia said they don’t have any solid plans for a wedding.
“We just have to find the time to put it together. In many ways, a child is more of a commitment,” she said. “There’s no definition of the ‘normal family’ anymore. Kids today are growing up with so many different definitions of family. I guess what I’m saying is that I don’t feel any pressure to do it. But I think it will be really fun.”
