Did Katy Perry just take a dig at Kim Kardashian?

Three-time Rolling Stone cover girl Katy Perry must have her guard down around the magazine’s reporters because she willingly opened up about her family plans, reactions to cultural appropriation criticism and Kim Kardashian.

One of the big topics Katy addressed was the backlash she’s received to several parts of various performance — specifically her Geisha-inspired AMA performance and the bootylicious mummy dancers featured in her Prismatic tour.

“As far as the mummy thing, I based it on plastic surgery,” Katy explained. She then called Kim Kardashian and Coco Austin out by name, seemingly implying they’ve had work done. “Those girls aren’t African-American. But it’s actually a representation of our culture wanting to be plastic, and that’s why there’s bandages and it’s mummies.”

She sarcastically said that, in light of the two controversies, she’s probably better off sticking to “baseball and hot dogs, and that’s it.” She immediately added, “I know that’s a quote that’s gonna come to f**k me in the a**, but can’t you appreciate a culture? I guess, like, everybody has to stay in their lane?”

After addressing that drama, Katy spoke about something that’s slightly less controversial these days: Having children as an intentional single mother.

“I don’t need a dude,” she declared. “It’s 2014! We are living in the future; we don’t need anything. I don’t think I’ll have to, but we’ll see. I’m not anti-men. I love men. But there is an option if someone doesn’t present himself.”

She said that having kids isn’t in the two-year plan — but possibly something she would pursue within the next five. She added, “I need to really be able to focus 100 percent of my attention on it. I don’t really want to take the child on tour.”
