Gisele Bundchen has gone au naturel in her latest fashion shoot, stripping back as much glamor as a 34-year-old Brazilian supermodel can.
Photographer Juergen Teller snapped the candid-esque shots, which feature Bundchen hanging out in an artist’s studio, wearing the latest luxury designs by fashion icon Sonya Rykiel.
They’re meant to be an homage to a series of black-and-white photos of Rykiel herself, from the 1970s. Katie Grand, the stylist for the shoot, explained how things came together:
[The photos of Rykiel] were very elegant black-and-white snapshots of her in the studio and on a car, and reminded me of Juergen Teller’s work. Once Juergen had agreed to work with us, we wanted to work with a woman with Madame Rykiel’s joie de vivre, and the obvious choice was Gisele.
