The songs on Boyhood soundtrack are recognizable indie rock hits from the past 12 years, but the final song, and the one used in the trailer, seems kind of fresh and new.
This 2012 song, called “Hero” is from Family of the Year’s second album Loma Vista.
Watch the music video for the song below, which was also featured in the first season of Girls, and episode of Degrassi and Couples Therapy.
It’s no surprise that the music supervisor for this film is Randall Poster, who is behind some of the best music choices in film, including all of Wes Anderson’s movies.
